Rebelle is super power in watercolor but as an overal software i don’t like too much because is very restricted in brush editor for example. Performance wise, it’s a bit more demanding and slower than the regular pixel brush. It’s a very powerful type of brush that gives a lovely painterly effect. Of course the best is to use real watercolor but in digital. Smudge mixing is done with the Color Smudge Brush Engine, a special brush engine that allows you to mix your current brush color with the color (s) under the brush. BUt these brushes are better for relaxing. People is really focused in speed, for example in concept art. I think the best part of making watercolor with the new brushes i am making is to see in real time how they behave. This way, you will always have this paper available in Krita after a click on ‘‘New File’’ in Krita, and don’t have to search for it on your computer anymore.
